Hey there, friends! I have been sitting on this post for awhile now and I am so excited to finally post it. Awhile back, I was given the opportunity to try a product that I had never heard of before. Now that's saying a lot because being a beauty blogger, I thought I'd seen it all. Vitamo sent me their Batana Hair Oil and the cool part was that I didn't even know what Batana Oil was! I really had to do my research so I had a good idea of what I was putting in my hair. Learn more about this product and my experience with it down below.
- What is Batana Oil? -
Batana Oil comes from the American Palm Tree. To be exact, it comes from the Nut of the American Palm Tree. It's a yellow liquid substance that is extracted from nut and its been used for hundreds of years for hair, skin and even health. The native Miskito people of Honduras referred to it as 'miracle oil' because it helped them grow longer and stronger hair. It's packed with vitamin e so it's very moisturizing and can promote hair growth.

What makes Vitamo's Batana Oil special? -
Vitamo uses cold pressing to extract the Batana Oil instead of roasting. Cold pressing involves pressing the plant material under low temperatures versus high heat. This helps preserve sensitive nutrients and compounds that might be degraded by heat. Since batana oil is rich in fatty acids and vitamins, cold pressing is much more effective.
~My Personal Experience~
This product is so impressive. At first glance, it looks kinda like chunky wax but it isn't waxy at all. That's just what it looks like to me. It has the coolest texture. It's thick and a bit clumpy but it starts to melt as soon as it touches the heat of my hands. It's an oil but I don't think it feels too oily or greasy at all. I applied it to my hair while I was in the shower and let it sit for 20ish minutes.
After I applied it, I took a scalp brush and scrubbed it in through my hair and scalp. I honestly thought that it was going to be hard to rinse out but it really wasn't at all. Right away, I could see and feel a difference. My hair was really damaged before I started using this treatment so I got dramatic improvements right away.
Have you ever gotten a Keratin treatment before? Well when I got a Keratin treatment a long time ago, it made my hair feel softer, shinier and it felt heavier in a good way. Like it was much healthier. That's exactly what I noticed first after my first use of the Batana Hair Oil. My hair had weight to it and it felt sleek and smooth.
Once I dried my hair, it wasn't frizzy at all. My hair was shiny and silky-smooth. My scalp has been improving more and more every time I use it. My scalp isn't as itchy anymore and it's much more moisturized. I honestly can't believe how fast I got noticeable results. It's such an excellent product. So, normally, I write a section or list of the products ingredients but this one only has the one ingredient basically. I can't say it enough, how well this hair treatment has worked for my hair and scalp. It's transformed my hair from root to tip. I've been using the Batana Hair Oil for awhile now so I'm speaking of my results after finishing my first container. I know it's meant for my hair but recently, I've been rubbing it on my legs and rinsing it before I get out of the shower. My legs are much more hydrated and my eczema is barely noticeable. It's just an excellent product. I really hope Vitamo will consider making body care products with it also. Wouldn't that be so cool?! Anywho. I am so grateful for this entire experience. This hair treatment is something that I will be buying over and over. It's that good. You guys should totally check it out. I definitely recommend it!
